Word to PDF — online tool, included with Pro
Convert a Word document (.doc or .docx) into a PDF that looks identical on every device and cannot be accidentally edited. Fonts are embedded, page breaks are fixed, and headers, footers, tables and images are rendered exactly as Word lays them out — the right format for a resume, a contract, a proposal or anything you want read but not changed. This conversion runs on our servers, so it needs a signed-in account with an active plan; your file is processed once, and the converted file is kept for up to an hour so you can download it, then deleted automatically.
Word to PDF runs on our secure servers and is included with a CraftMyDocs Pro plan. Uploaded files are deleted automatically after processing.
- Accepts legacy .doc and modern .docx files
- Fonts embedded, so the PDF looks the same on a machine without them
- Page breaks, headers, footers, footnotes and tables render as they do in Word
- Hyperlinks and the table of contents stay clickable
- Server-side processing with automatic deletion afterwards

Frequently asked questions
Will fonts I installed myself be preserved?
If the font is embedded in the .docx (File → Options → Save → Embed fonts in Word) it is used as-is. Otherwise the converter substitutes the closest standard font, which can shift line breaks slightly. Common fonts — Calibri, Arial, Times, Georgia, Cambria — convert exactly.
Do tracked changes and comments appear in the PDF?
Comments are omitted. Tracked changes are rendered as the document currently displays them, so accept or reject all changes in Word before converting if you want a clean final copy.
Is this the right way to make a PDF of my resume?
It works, but if you built the resume here, export directly from the builder — the PDF is generated from the template with print-tuned spacing and no conversion step. Use this tool for resumes and letters written in Word.
Can I convert several documents at once?
One file per job at the moment. Convert each document, then combine the PDFs with Merge PDF if you need a single file.
