Remove Pages — free online tool

Delete pages from a PDF by listing them — blank sheets a scanner added, a cover you do not want to send, the appendix a client does not need, or the one page of a statement that carries someone else's details. Type the page numbers or ranges to remove and the tool writes a new PDF without them. It runs entirely in your browser — your file never leaves your device, there is nothing to install, and it is free with no sign-up. Remaining pages are copied unchanged, so text stays selectable and images keep their resolution.

  • Accepts single pages and ranges in one field, e.g. 2, 5-7, 12
  • Remaining pages keep their order, size, rotation, text and links
  • Removes blank, duplicate and confidential pages in a single pass
  • Shows the page count after upload so you can check numbers before removing
  • Runs in the browser on files up to 50 MB; nothing is uploaded

How to remove pages

  1. 1Upload the PDF.
  2. 2Note the page count shown after upload and identify the pages to drop.
  3. 3Enter them as numbers and ranges, for example 1, 4-6.
  4. 4Click Remove Pages — the new file is built locally in a second or two.
  5. 5Download the result. The original file on your device is unchanged.

Frequently asked questions

Can I preview pages before removing them?

The tool works from page numbers rather than thumbnails, so open the PDF in your viewer first to confirm which pages to drop. A visual, drag-to-reorder mode is on our list; for now the page count shown after upload helps you sanity-check the numbers.

How is this different from Reorder Pages and Extract Pages?

Remove Pages drops the pages you list and keeps everything else in order. Extract Pages keeps only the pages you list. Reorder Pages rebuilds the document in a sequence you type — and because it copies only the pages in that list, it can remove pages while reordering too.

Will deleting pages reduce the file size?

Usually, in proportion to the content removed. If the pages were scans, the saving is large; if they were mostly text, it is small. For a real size reduction run the result through Compress PDF.

Is removing a page a safe way to redact information?

Yes, when the sensitive content is confined to whole pages — the page and its content are gone from the output. To remove part of a page, use Redact in Edit PDF — it deletes the text and images under the box from the file, not just covers them.
