How to edit pdf
- 1Upload the PDF to edit.
- 2Pick a tool from the toolbar — Text to type, Highlight to mark, Redact to remove, Image to insert.
- 3Click on the page to place the element, then drag to move or resize it.
- 4Use the page arrows to move through the document and repeat where needed.
- 5Click Download to save the edited PDF; the original file is left unchanged.
Frequently asked questions
Can I change the existing text in the PDF?
Not yet. You can remove text with Redact and type replacement text over the gap, which is how paper corrections work. True in-place text editing is planned as a premium feature. For a full rewrite, convert to Word, edit, and convert back.
Is Redact safe for sensitive information?
Yes. Redact removes the text, image pixels and drawings under each box from the downloaded file, so they can't be selected, searched or extracted afterwards. Draw the box over everything you want gone, then check the downloaded file before you share it. The other shapes only draw on top of the page.
Can I sign a document here?
You can draw a signature with the pen tool or insert a signature image on any page. The Sign PDF tool is quicker for that one job: it gives you a signature pad and places the result at a chosen corner of a chosen page in a single step.
Will my annotations be editable later?
Annotations are flattened into the page when you download, so they display everywhere but cannot be moved afterwards. Keep the original PDF if you expect to revise the markup, and re-annotate from that.
