How to rotate pdf

Frequently asked questions
Can I rotate just one page instead of the whole document?
This tool rotates every page by the same amount. To fix a single sideways page, extract it with Extract Pages, rotate that one-page file, then put it back with Merge PDF (and Reorder Pages if it needs to sit in the middle). Per-page rotation is planned.
Why does my PDF look upright in one app but sideways in another?
Some viewers auto-rotate for display without changing the file; others show the stored orientation. Saving the rotation here writes it into the page itself, so every viewer and printer agrees.
Does rotating reduce quality or change the file size?
No. Rotation is a page-level attribute, so the content streams are copied unchanged. Text remains selectable and searchable, and file size stays essentially the same.
Will it work on a password-protected PDF?
Open-protected files must be unlocked first — use Unlock PDF with the password you know. Files that merely restrict printing or editing can usually be rotated directly.
